I wish someone would explain to be the logic here. State lawmakers add five days to the school calendar, by taking away work days. Sure, that’s intelligent. It’s not like teachers don’t already work day and night to put together lesson plans and structure each day of class. In addition to that, the state will change when teachers get paid. Are you serious? In my rural community, we respect teachers and all they do. Now it seems instead of helping, the state wants to do nothing more than cut funding from the classroom, in order to fund their own projects. It’s disgusting.
