I was annoyed to read on the Union County Weekly Facebook page that once again the gas tax will go up in January. Outstanding. It’s not bad enough that the economy’s struggling, let’s go ahead and strangle it before we see any type of rebound. That’s the kind of leadership I’ve come to expect from our wonderful governor. I’m saddened that the Senate seems to be following her lead. I would, however, like to thank Union County’s District 68 Rep. Craig Horn. He tried to get the tax capped, and I want him to know his constituents back home appreciate it.
