For any leader of any town to get involved in a circus like atmosphere of slandering residents by using government e-mail, Facebook and the news media takes away from what that Mayor was elected to do. The job of Mayor is to preside over the Council meetings, set the agenda for each meeting , keep the discussions civil and on topic. The Mayor should continually remind the Council to abide by their ethics policy., not to set examples of how not to abide by the ethics policy! Please Mayor Alvarez , you can start setting the good example for the residents at anytime.
