‘A Street of Bethlehem’ returns to Shiloh Baptist

MONROE – Take a walk down ‘A Street of Bethlehem’ as Shiloh Baptist Church presents its annual attraction. The event takes place at the church Dec. 14 to 16 at 6 p.m. each night.

Visitors will experience the town of Bethlehem the way it appeared at the time of the birth of Jesus, as church members take on the roles of merchants, townspeople and the Holy Family. For more information, call the church at 704-283-4451.

Military Meet-and-Greet at First Baptist Indian Trail

INDIAN TRAIL – Throughout the month of December, First Baptist Church of Indian Trail is hosting a special Military Meet-and-Greet as a “thank you” to those serving in the armed forces.

‘Christmas Memories’ coming to Stallings UMC

STALLINGS – The Union Chorale will present “Christmas Memories,” a choral concert featuring songs of the season at Stallings United Methodist Church on Saturday, Dec. 1, at 7 p.m.

Team church presents ‘The Journey to Christmas’

Room in the Inn begins at Weddington UMC

WEDDINGTON – Room in the Inn, a metropolitan outreach ministry will begin Dec. 14 and runs all winter long at Weddington United Methodist Church.

The church is partnering with the
Urban Ministry Center in Charlotte to
house six local homeless neighbors in
the Hemby House during the coldest
months of the winter.

Every two
weeks on Friday night, church members will share
the love of Christ with homeless men, women and children by giving them a warm place to sleep, a shower, two hot meals and a safe place to spend the evening.

The church needs volunteers to help with the following tasks:

• Setup and cleanup
• Transportation of the guests to and from the Urban Ministry Center
• Preparing and/or serving dinner and breakfast
• Overnight hosts
