Quilts donated to advocacy group

The Tree House Children’s Advocacy Center now has 60 handmade quilts to help keep kids comfortable and secure.

Community Matters: Insurance Partners of Charlotte donated the quilts for children who are suspected to have suffered from sexual or physical abuse. Each child gets a blanket to cover themselves during the medical examination and forensic interview, and the blanket is theirs to keep afterward.

Community Matters is a new nonprofit organization comprised by more than 45 firms in the insurance industry dedicated to making a difference in the community by providing major financial support to worthy charitable agencies.
