MONROE – Crews will have to close a portion of Walkup Avenue in Monroe soon as work begins on drainage improvements.
Crews will start working on the section of road, between Purser Avenue and U.S. 74, starting Monday, July 16. During construction, the road will be closed to through traffic between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. each weekday.
Work should be finished by Wednesday, July 18.
