Town of Matthews also hosts 44 other summer camps
The town’s Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources department plans an action-packed summer schedule of camps that run the gamut. From dancing to fencing and everything in between, organizers say there’s something for every kid this summer in Matthews. Through a partnership with Charlotte’s Discovery Place, science camps also return to town this year.
“Every year we strive to make our summer camps and programs even better and 2012 is no exception,” said Jason Petersen of the town’s Parks and Recreation department. “We offer over 40 choices for fun but also learning experiences. If you look at our offerings you will find something for everyone at very reasonable prices. We hope you will join us this summer.”
The highlight of Matthews’ summer programs is Camp FUNshine.
