Who am I?
My name is David (Dave) Drehs; I have lived in Indian Trail for over 15 years. I am married to my wife Eileen and a Father of four.

I retired from the Army after 22 years 1973-1995. I served as US Army Detachment First Sergeant in an Explosive Ordnance Deposal (EOD) Detachment in Desert Strom. We provided Explosive Ordnance Deposal support for the The 101st Airborne Division—the “Screaming Eagles”.
Why am I running
I am running because I will be an advocate for four generations. I have lived in Indian Trail for over 15 years. My wife’s parents retired here in Indian Trail several years ago from New York. My daughter and her husband bought a home here a few years later and my granddaughter was born here in 2008. This has made me more aware of the concerns and needs of four generations of Indian Trailers.

Why this election is important
My first priority would be to find out how the decision to moving more and faster traffic in front of our high school was made and why they thought it was a good Idea. Making sure all improvement to roads and zoning changes takes location our school and the children attending them in taken into account.
Growth/Traffic: Planning so that our town’s resources (parks, roads, and law enforcement) fulfill the needs of all our citizens.
Community wide view point: Electing representatives from all parts of Indian Trail and ending the disconnect between the council and the town. Currently all council member come from just two of our 14 precincts. I think it’s time all of Indian Trail does its fair share by participating in governing.
Taxes/Revenues: Making smarter use of the money that our citizens have provided Indian Trail.
