Sending them off!

Students at Porter Ridge Elementary (above) wished their high school counterparts good luck earlier this month as the Porter Ridge High School softball team prepared to leave for the state championship in Raleigh. After the girls got onboard the bus for Raleigh, the school resource officer gave them a police escort down Porter Ridge Drive, where the elementary school students waited. The athletes got out and gave high fives to the kids before getting back on the bus and heading off to win the state championship. It’s the school’s first team state championship.
