Board approves contract for new laptops

MONROE — The Union County Public Schools Board approved a more than $3.4 million contract recently to get laptops for system ninth-graders.

The laptops are part of the system’s 1:1 initiative. The total contract, awarded to LenovoInc., is for $3,408,370 and will pay for the laptops, onsite service, backpacks and a three-year warranty.
