MONROE – Parkwood High School is hoping the community comes to its aid in the Charlotte Checkers’ Technology Upgrade Contest.
The school is up for a $5,000 award that would be used to upgrade technology at the aging Monroe school. Parkwood Principal Jan Hollis said a portion of the money would be used for the school’s career and technology education program that includes business and computer classes, according to a news release.
People must vote by June 5. To vote, visit the Charlotte Checkers’ Facebook page, www.facebook.com/charlottecheckers, and click on the tab for the contest.
