Cutherbertson senior wins $10,000 scholarship

WAXHAW – Joseph Skavroneck, a Cuthbertson High School senior, won a $10,000 college scholarship from the Coca-Cola Scholars program.

Skavroneck was chosen because of his good grades and community involvement, a press release about the award said.

More than 250 high school students from across the country were honored at a banquet last month and were awarded scholarships. More than 84,000 students from across the country applied for the honor.
