Ask the teachers for ideas…. Here’s one: How about high level positions (administration levels) revert to the teacher pay salary schedule? They did give raises to a few central office positions due to “taking on more responsibility” earlier this year. Teachers have been taking on more responsibility for years and our state pay AND district pay has been cut (not just frozen) in the past 4 years! The county also has MILLIONS sitting in the bank from the CMC-Waxhaw deal…… why can’t that money go to support teachers/schools????? Seems like there are a lot of options besides coming down on teachers- again!
