Weddington High Excelsior Award Winners

WHS’s Excelsior program was created in 2007 under principal Brad Breedlove and The Climate for High Expectations Correlate. Excelsior is a program which allows the faculty to recognize through thoughtful, hand-written messages on Excelsior postcards sent to parents those students who have exhibited excellent work ethic and leadership within their classes . Twice a year, each department chooses one male and one female student to receive the Departmental Excelsior Award for their accomplishments. In addition, the principal chooses a male and a female staff member to honor for going above and beyond in his/her work. This semester’s winners are:
